Boy marries girl even though a few of us warned him against it. Boy has finally had enough and leaves girl but to get a divorce in this state you legally have to be separated for 1 year before divorce papers can be filed. Girl files and sends divorce papers to boy with mother legally signing that they have been separated for a year even though it has been only about 3 months max. Girl calls boy months later asking “Hey, what are you doing?” Hows that work?

The holiday season is essentially in full swing now. Usually the easy way to get out of spending time with the family is to work. I despise getting grilled with umpteen questions when I care not to share the information. I recently found out questions were asked to a relative on what I was doing, how I was doing and if anything was going on. Seriously, if I wanted this information spread around, I’d speak it. If I don’t talk to my parents well there might be a reason. Perhaps they are too nosy. I don’t want to know every detail of their lives why should of mine? Needles to say, you can catch me working on Thanksgiving and Christmas avoiding as much family stuff as possible. There were be massive amounts of alcohol before and after said visits to numb the entire experience because you know you just can’t avoid at least a couple of hours, at least I haven’t figured out how yet. Well I guess I could just not go but then maybe I want to be ridiculed once/twice a year to realize why I stay away the rest of the year.

So I was having dinner last night ad got to talking with one of my friends. She has been living with her man for some time and they just had a baby a little while ago. Apparently the other day she had called her man to find out if he was planning on buying something or anything I guess that might be a lot of money because she was doing their finances and making sure they had enough money for the rent, etc since it is the beginning of the month. He then relayed this info to his mother and sister because he might have been over there? Not really clear on that but what happened was they took it upon themselves to call all of their friends and family they had phone numbers to, to get information on if this happens a lot, or does she control the money, etc type of things. Some how it got convoluted and it got back to the man who then talked with my friend about it and she knew where it started and so she called his sister/mother on it. They happened to be at the same place so she talked with the sister who then hemmed and hawed claiming ignorance and then passed the phone over to the mother who then proceeded to push the record button on the answering machine and record the conversation. Right after she hung up the phone, she called the man to replay it and then have the nerve to say please don’t let her know I let you hear this.

Okay, I have a few issues with this, #1 some of which might include the fact that you are not allowed to record a conversation without the other party knowing this. It is illegal. Then there is the question of how many other conversations might have been recorded? What do they plan on doing with them all? How vengeful is this person and why can’t they mind their own fucking business and let these adults live their own lives?

Then it made me think about my family and she is lucky that it isn’t even her own. I ended up in something like this by proxy but without the taping of the conversation. Sister had an issue with her man going out doing things apparently and sometimes with me. She claimed he was cheating on her with me but didn’t bother to come to either him nor me to ask this idiotic question. She turns to my mother who then sticks her nose in it and then tells me to stay away from him. Hello? When did you become mediator and why isn’t she speaking for herself and how insecure is she? Mind you none of this even matters anymore since they are no longer together and I’ll bet dollars to none she was the one cheating on him and it is a shame he didn’t prove it before he left. Dysfunctional doesn’t even cover it.

Well, lets chat about the BIL, shall we, since this seems to be hitting me now. I stupidly helped him and signed for a boat which he repoed on. Now the bank is after me for the remaining amount after they sold it. So far, this repercusion has made my car insurance go up because I have bad credit which I have a feeling will never leave me now. But that’s not even the big issue, it is the fact that the bank hired a lawyer and is after me. I keep giving him the paperwork but nothing gets done. He probably trashes it. So I’m somewhat stuck as to how to proceed next. Wasn’t my damn boat, I was just helping him out. So far what I’ve been told is that they can’t take anything I own but I’m still wary of this, and I need to get a copy of the insurance card/receipt or something showing that it was in his name so they will stop going after me because after all if he got the insurance without my name, that should prove I didn’t own the damn thing right? How to get this is beyond me without asking him.
